AWR1443BOOST: mmWave Demo Visualizer

Part Number: AWR1443BOOST

Dear Sir or Madam,

at the moment it ist not possible to configure und select the icons of the "Objekt Detection" from the mmWave Demo Visualizer of Internet. Due to that we cann not measure the speed of one objekt (selection: Remove Static Clutter).  Please could you help us.

Thanks in advance

Regards,

Elena Euken

  • Hi Elena,

I am not sure I understood your question. You can look at Doppler-Range plot for velocity. Optionally you can also enable Range Doppler Heatmap.

Remove Static clutter would only remove static objects from the point cloud.

    Regards,
    Kaushal
  • Dear Kaushal,

thanks for your answer.  You are right.  But in our prasentation  we would like to show the measurement of the speed of one movement object without static object. Att the moment ist  not possible to set "remove static clutter" in the  wiindow of the Demo Visualizer. The slider ist missing.    Please check the window of the Demo Visualizer.

    Best  regards,

    Elena

  • Dear Mr Kaushal,

Let me clarify once again, what I wanted to say.

In the mmwave Demo Visualizer, few weeks ago, there used to be an option called as 'Object Detection'. I don't see that option anymore. Looks like in the new website update, this option was removed. I have attached 2 comparison pictures called NEW and OLD for your better understanding. I have to demonstrate the radar to a group of people on the coming Monday. Sometimes, the radar detects a big single object as many objects. Thus, I need this option in my disposal. Is it anyhow possible to get access to the 'Object Detection' option now?

    Regards,

    Elena

  • For your purpose can you use this version of Visualizer
    dev.ti.com/.../

And further you can even edit Visualizer source code as per your requirement, using TI Dev gallery, (goto Visualizer->Help-> Download or Clone visualizer.
