4ch remote temp sensor

Hello,

We look for 4ch remote temp sensor which prefer few IO pins like I2C/SPI, moderate temperature accuracy without calibration like 2 or 3C, simply power up then read temperature operation.

The background is to add temp measurement function to existing FPGA which has very few resource/IOs. Very simple, 4ch remote temp sensor is preferred.

Would you recommend what device is a good fit?

Best regards,

  • Hello Toshihiro-San,

All of our remote temperature sensors will also include a local temperature sensor. Are you looking for 4 remote channels and 1 local channel? Or 3 remote channels and 1 local channel?

For 4 remote channels I would recommend the TMP464. If the measurement is being done on a transistor with an ideality constant around 1.008 then the accuracy should be within your specified range.

For 3 remote channels, I recommend the TMP423. It is also configured by default for transistors with an ideality constant of 1.008. If the ideality constant of the transistor being monitored doesn't match this then there will be some additional error. The "Remote Sensing" section on page 23 & 24 of the TMP423 datasheet shows how to estimate this error.
