Hello ,
Could you provide the exact frequency of the tone you are seeing? What is the state of the AWR1642 during this measurement? Is it framing or is it idle? Or do you see it in both the states?
I assume you have made sure that the pickup is only from our device and not from surrounding wifi or Bluetooth activity. Like by resetting the AWr device and making sure the tine goes away?

Power on will happen(do not set config), Power down will not be generated .

confirming that there are no 2.4G device!

Hello,
As you are aware the R4 core of the AWR1642 runs at 200Mhz and the DSP runs at 600Mhz. The harmonics of these clocks would fall at 2.4Ghz and there could be small emissions. Is there any kind failure you are seeing because of this?

Hello Pop Lin,
I understand the frequency is 2.4Ghz. As explained above the clock frequencies the 2.4GHz frequency content can be explained.
My question is what is the emission level you are targeting and is the emission level failing the targeted emission amplitude? Our emissions pass the emission standards prescribed by the ETSI body in the EN 302 264-1 V2.1.0 and EN 301 91 V2.1.0 standards. Which is the emission standard you are referring t?

You could refer to attach mail for Radiation test fail if we use worse Cable which don’t have GND shield.RE AWR1642 Radiation test.msg

Hello Charles,
Thanks for sharing the email chain. It appears that the emission is dominant from the cable due to lack of GND shielding. There is nothing much we can do within the AWR device about the emissions caused from the cable. We recommend using GND shielding cables in order to pass the emissions.

Hi Vivek

Vehicle vendor is hard to use the cable of GND shielding, and they think it is TI chip design issue.

Could TI have improvement plan? We can't think Vehicle vendor must use the cable of GND shielding.
