Looking to buy the AWR1642BOOST EVM. Please suggest if I need to get any other product along with this to start product development. In other words is this EVM good to start the development.

The AWR1642BOOST is a great place to start your development. If you are looking to capture raw ADC data at any point, I would also recommend you take a look at the DCA1000EVM. With the AWR1642BOOST and DCA1000EVM, you can use our RF platform tool, mmWave Studio, for additional development.

With the AWR1642BOOST, you can start with example applications that you can find on TI's Resource Explorer.

You should also download the mmWave SDK to being your development. You can download the SDK here: www.ti.com/.../MMWAVE-SDK

Thanks Kyle. Do you recommend to start with AWR1642BOOST and then get DCA1000EVM, if required? Or is it mandatory to get DCA1000EVM for us to complete the development. Our first step is get the basic object detection working along with the distance information. Adding monitoring of lanes can be done later.

The DCA1000EVM is required if you are looking to complete any raw data capturing or if you are looking to use our RF evaluation tool, mmWave Studio. You can find mmWave Studio here: software-dl.ti.com/.../index_FDS.html

Otherwise, you can get started with just the AWR1642BOOST and then add the DCA1000EVM later.
