IWR1642: High Accuracy Lab Doxygen

Part Number: IWR1642

Hi,

I was wondering if there was any doxygen available for the High Accuracy Lab, similar to the index.html doxygen file provided for the Demo Lab. I'd like to learn more about the Zoom FFT algorithm being used, and haven't been able to find anything other than what is provided in the lab's user guide.

Regards,

Josh

  • I don't think there is any Doxygen, but let me do a little research and ill get back with you.

  • I suppose a more specific question would be this: how exactly is the sensor deciding what constitutes an "object"? I know in the Demo Lab the sensor is using a CFAR algorithm--however that lab outputs multiple objects, whereas the High Accuracy Lab only outputs 1 object. So how does algorithm for the High Accuracy Lab differ from that of the Demo lab such that it only registers one object? In other words, what is the process by which the sensor decides what in its field-of-view should be the "one object"?

  • Hi Josh,

So the high accuracy lab utilizes a Zoom FFT algorithm which finds a coarse peak and then finely zooms in it to provide a single measurement with high accuracy. This algorithm is actually discussed in the High Accuracy User Guide on page 17. Let me know if you have more questions.

    Cheers,
