Reviewed materials on selection of Transducers for use with the TDC1000.

I am looking to select a transducer which will operation in the 1" to 10" distance range with the TDC1000. 

If I could resolve 1mm would be desirable, but to achieve the distance mentioned above, willing to compromise.

I am trying to measure liquid height in a confined space, so beam diameter has to be narrow ( around 2.5" diameter and 8"  tall.)

So the transducer will basically work through air and reflect off the liquid.

May have to seal the transducer, so this could be a consideration later down the road.

Can anyone recommend a transducer type, diameter, frequency, beam width, supplier?

    We typically do not recommend any particular transducers, the application notes have a few list of transducers which we have worked with in our labs here. Please check if any of those will fit your setup.
    The diameter of the transducer that you may use for setup will depend on the surface area of your tank as well.
