CCS/AWR1642: Query regarding AWR1642 and CCS compatibility

Hi,

I am working with AWR1642.  I have queries related to CCS version and AWR1642.

1. Can we use CCS5.4 to develop, build and simulate for AWR1642 ?

2. Can we develop and build code for AWR1642 using CCS7.4 and then can we run this binary on CCS5.4 simulator?

    Hi,
    We recommend to use CCS 7.4 onward version. And if you building with CCS7.4 then better use same version to load to the device.
    I assume simulate on AWR1642 to download build image to the device over JTAG. For that you need to have JTAG connection which CCS 7.4+ version supports for AWR devices.
