Linux/AWR1642BOOST: BOOST not working after several ROS RViz runs (D3 light off)

For API specific issues, please provide the application source code used.
For run-time issues, please provide a detailed description of the problem and the expected behavior.
- Ran fine on Google Chrome for Visualizer Demo, no issues
- Ran in RViz. Took 5 minutes to come online. D3 LED came on. Everything looked super cool. The blue spheres were fun to play with.
- Tried to run the next day and received this:
- I noticed the D3 LED was off.
- Then I went back into the Visualizer Demo in Google Chrome browser, which had worked previously:

I am reading the documentation for the SDK again and trying to refollow the instructions for TI ROS guide. It feels like I am running in circles. Some guidance would be appreciated.

Hi,

It seems that the "sensorStop" command is not acked properly. Does the mmWave SDK OOB demo run properly?

Hello Garrett,

Please also try power cycling or pressing the reset ("NRST") button on the EVM before running a new test.

Is the SDK OOB demo the same as the one in section 3 of the MMWAVE SDK User's Guide called mmWave Demo? It is not working.

I am going to look into "4. 2. How to flash an image onto xWR14xx/xWR16xx EVM".

troubleshooting/reflashing the device fixed it.

There may have been an issue with the visualizer version I was using.

(worked at first) dev.ti.com/.../

(works now) dev.ti.com/.../

The explanation of the SOP connections is somewhat difficult to follow in the documentation. I feel like the information on SOP is scattered over the User's Guide and the SDK User's Guide. Without the instructions to"To put the EVM in flashing mode, power off the board and place jumpers on pins marked as SOP2 and SOP0." written out, I would have had trouble figuring it out. There is plenty of room in table 4 of the user's guide to include plain English instructions for the SOP jumpers (section 2.7.1).
