I designed a small circuit using OPT3001. Can you please help me verify the schematic and layout?

Hi,

I just checked the first image since that is only one with the OPT3001. This looks good. If OPT3001 is only device on I2C bus this should be fine. If other devices you should make sure to check the pull up resistor calculation with the bus capacitance. Let me know if you need more info on how to do this.

I was you attached gerbers. If you would like me to check layout as well can you please respond with an image or pdf file of the layout? If can also open altium designer files.

Yes. Can you please tell me how to calculate the pull-up resistor value? I don't know how to do that now.

Hi,

Here is the link to the doc containing info on i2c pullup resistor calculation

For layout it looks good. I could not tell if you have all the OPT3001 pins connected through traces or pours, but if so this looks good. Specifically the two pins on the left bottom of the device.

Thanks for your input. Yes. I connected the pins to the GND plane.
