OPT3101: External Clock

Hi,

MSP430 would provide the external clock to OPT3101 GP2 port on OPT3101EVM, so is my understanding correct that the external clock frequency is 10-MHz ?
In addition, the internal clock frequency will be trimmed within +/- 3% as below, so please share the distance measurement data as described in the following application note when comparing the internal clock with the high precision external clock.

Hi Kato,

Correct. What do you mean by "please share the distance measurement data as described in the following application note"? I do not believe the app note mentions this type of data for frequency. Our EVM uses external reference so all data in this app note was collected using external reference.

Would you have the data which was measured with the internal clock ?
If yes, please share me the information.
In addition, does the distance accuracy decrease depending on temperature fluctuation if using OPT3101 with the internal clock ?

Hi Alex-san,

Sorry for confusing you and I was mistaken in my understanding.

Could you please provide the distance accuracy on only chip frequency trim correction if using OPT3101 without the dynamic frequency calibration not using the external reference clock ?
