Thank you very much for your reply. I might not have been clear. I meant measuring through the metal at the top of the tank.  I’ve read posts that say the TDC1000 might not be the best transducer for this project.  I would also like to make it removeable. Would magnets adhere it to the metal top well enough to get a reading?

    Yes we can mount the transducer to the top of the tank to take measurements using the TDC1000. We would recommend using some adhesion (glue) method rather than using magnets to adhere the transducer.
