OPT3002: Read 7F register of OPT3002 is 3001H

Hi,

customer are testing OPT3002 and OPT3001, they read the 7F Device ID register is always 3001H whatever OPT3001 and OPT3002. 

what's the device ID of OPT3002? I didn't see it information on datasheet. and how to distinguish OPT3002 and OPT3001?

    Betty,

    Both the OPT3002 and OPT3001 have the same address options, so if the address pin on both parts are tied to the same line, they will have the same address. To change the I2C address, refer to table 1 of the datasheet. there are 4 possible I2C addresses for both parts. Page 12 of the OPT3001 and OPT3002 datasheets.
