DCA1000EVM: Shifting bypass register in DCA1000EVM

Part Number: DCA1000EVM
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AWR1243

Hello!! I can't debug FPGA on DCA1000EVM, because there is one mistake :

"Device#1 LFE5UM-85F: Shift out '1' instead of '0' from Bypass register. "

In datasheet is nthing abiut this. What need i do?

  • Hello Marat,

Could you provide more details about your question? What mmWave EVM do you have connected to the DCA1000EVM? What procedure are you following when you encounter the issue? What software (and version) are you using? What is your desired goal?

    Regards,
    John
  • I 'm trying to connect AWR1243 BOOST with DCA1000EVM to mmWAve Studio, for debugging i use Diamond programmer v 3.10 x64.

All Things that i've done is according DCA1000's datasheet :

    1. Erase FPGA's memory.

    2. Download new programming file from mmWAVE studio directory.

Problem with bypass register is gone, But after "sucsessful" programming of FPGA (as it was written in Diamond programmer) I still can't connect DCA1000EVM to PC using Ethernet. (Look at window "RF data capture Card" on screenshot) Looks like something wrong with FPGA. What need i do??

  • Marat,

TI has just released a new version of mmWave Studio, version 2.0. I would suggest updating to the latest version and see if this resolves your issue.

You can download the latest version of mmWave Studio here: software-dl.ti.com/.../index_FDS.html

  • just have downloaded a new version of mmWave studio, downloaded to FPGA new programming file, but still  there is no connection between PC and DCA1000EVM through Ethernet. I 've seen it on WireShark, there is no reply from DCA1000. How to fix that?? (below you can see screenshot from Wire Shark)
