IWR1642: Issue Editing Parameters for People Counting Demo

I'm using my IWR1642 to do Texas Instrument's people counting demo. I'm trying to edit the allocation parameters for the demo (SNR Threshold, Velocity Threshold, etc.) but I can't figure out the best way to do it. I've tried opening the Matlab code for this demo (main_pplcount_viz.m) but I can't find in the code where to actually change the parameters, and I also can't even get the code to full run (I am unable to connect my device through the GUI created by Matlab).

What is the easiest way to change the parameters, specifically the allocation parameters, for the people counting demo?

Hi Isaac,

These configuration parameters are accessible to you through the .cfg files. These are text files that can be edited by any editor. When the cfg file is loaded to the device by the GUI, the device will use the parameters from the file.

Please try running the precompiled GUI for now. If you have industrial toolbox 3.0.0, you can also use the lab0015_pplcount_68xx gui, just be sure to use a cfg file for the 77 GHz device.

Is there a guide to editing these .cfg files. I can open them as a text file but I dont understand what I'm looking at.
