AWR1642BOOST: Time taken in Processing the frame and sending object data on CAN

Part Number: AWR1642BOOST

Hi,

We are using Short Range RADAR configuration in AWR1642Boost, Our client want to know the time taken to process the frame and send object data on CAN (Baudrate 1Mbps). May I know the rough (extreme) value of time taken to process the Object information including (Acquisition period + interframe processing time + Sending out Object data on CAN(1Mbps)).

Thanks & Regards

J Chandra Vamshi.

  • Hello Chandra Vamshi,

In our current SRR configuration the frame periodicity is 30ms (inter frame time) . In this time period , we are able to acquire the ADC data(~18-20ms), process it(1D, 2D, clustering and tracking)(~5 ms) , and send out data over a UART interface(slower than CAN interface) in the remaining time .

You should be able to easily change the transport to CAN interface instead of the UART interface and still be able to send out the data.

Let us know if you need further information.

    Thanks,
    Raghu
