Part Number: IWR6843
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: IWR1642,

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

when I try to run IWR6843 Indoor False detection demo it shows random detection and GUI Fail

i am using this config file to run IFD demo on IWR1642 IFD_PPLCount_test.cfg

i try to tune IWR1642 for IFD Demo

Can we change the Active area of IFD Code which is currently 6*6m ...?

i am not getting accepted result, guide me how to fix this issue or provide some related reference documents

Thanks,

Rahul

  • Hello,

The current demo has been configured and compiled for 6X6m space and at this point we do not have the option to change this.

We would like to know more about the random detection and GUI failures you are noticing. Can you please mention what was the scene in front of the sensor when you noticed the unwanted detection.

    Thank you,
    Vaibhav
  • Hello Vaibhav,

the scene in front of the sensor when I noticed the unwanted detection is Curtains and Fan, i am sharing Photos of environment

when Fan is off then it's detect accepted count but release detection after few minuets/sec(randomly)

I am want run this demo ideal condition like

1.Man is seat in mmWave sensor detection range

2.Room Fan ON(Run in any speed)

    3.Room Curtains are closed

Accepted result in Ideal condition of mmwave Sensor is Detection Point 1 or Target Count 1

as per Indoor False Detection demo need to show curtains and Fan is Inanimate Object  and detect only man who is seat on chair

    Thanks,

    Rahul

  • Hello Vaibhav,

    Thanks,

    Rahul

    Hello Rahul,

I believe this is similar to the request in this thread: e2e.ti.com/.../746522

Please refer to the response here regarding support for the IFDM demo on IWR1642 - it is not supported. Please use an IWR6843ISK instead.
