DCA1000EVM: Problem with the borad

Hi,

I config the borad like i see in the DCA1000 trainig vidoe and whan i get to the part that i prass set up DCA1000 its writes that the Ethernet cabal is disconnected, so i tried again from the begining and now the computer does not recognize the DCA1000 borad and the board reaches to high temperature that can not be touched.

someone have this problem?

Hello Alex,
Could you confirm the supply you provided to the DCA1000 board? It sounds like the board has got damaged.

Hello Vivek,

Thanks for answer. Its work in the begining and i move the S.W3 to DC_JACK_5V_IN and back to RADAR_5V_IN and the problam start.

Hello Alex,
The power supply that you are showed in the picture above, are you applying it on the DC jack of the DCA1000 board? If yes then the SW3 switch position should be to the DC_JACK_5V. Which board have you interfaced with the DCA1000 ? Is it one the TI mmwave EVMs?
Most of them do not provide the 5V supply to the DCA1000 by default, so the RADAR_5V_IN position would not work by default.

I try it but still tha same problem, the computer doesn't recognize the board and the board heat up very fast.

It looks like the board has been damaged. I am afraid you might have to order a new board. Sorry for the inconvenience.
