I have just received the DCA1000EVM. I am trying to use it to extract ADC raw data from my AWR1642 ES1.0 device flashed with mmWave SDK 1.2 (LTS). I have followed the DCA1000EVM start guide to the T; I can visualize all 6 COM ports in my device manager. After starting the mmWave Studio 1.0 application, I send a reset to the board and try to connect to the application/user UART COM port. In the output window, I see the figure that I have attached. I have been able to successfully use the AWR1642 device in the past. Do you have any suggestions for how to troubleshoot the RS232 connection further? I have verified that the Samtec HD cable and the mini USB cable are connected.
