IWR1443BOOST: The output data of vital sign lab has wrong length

Hi,

I am trying to view the data from the Vital Signs Lab in MATLAB. I am using the script provided called "main_readGUISavedBinary.m" to read the .bin file that is output by the GUI.

Since the Frame Periodicity is 50ms and I have run the lab for about a minute, I expected the "rangeProfile" or "outBreathWfm" data to have a length of about 12000.

However, the length turned out to be 1920.

Is there a problem or have I misunderstood of the lab?

Hi Zewen,

Are you still observing this problem? There should not be that many zeroes in your array so I believe the problem is likely in your test setup. Is your subject sitting at the recommended distance from the sensor?

As is shown in the range plot in the picture below, the subject is sitting at the recommended distance.

And here are the pictures of range profiles:

As you can see, the zeros are clearly set intentionally with fixed pattern, we haven't figure out the cause of this pattern.

Also, it seems that the data rate is not 20fps as described in the guide, do you know the reason?

I've spoke to the developer of this lab and this is not expected behavior. I will need several days in order to resolve this.
