Hi,

I am having a quite little experience in circuit design. I want to measure temperature, so i went for RTD (4-wire) & thermocouple options. I need an IC which can have an option for  RTD(4-wire) as well as thermocouple with internal ADC (so that I can avoid multiple ICs in the circuit ). The ADC is going to be connected to the micro controller which can support I2C only. So please could anyone recommend an IC that can fulfill my requirements.

    Hi Dwayne,

    Take a look at the ADS122C04. There are examples in the device datasheet showing circuits for both RTD and TC. You may need jumpers or switches to make it configurable for both sensors, but it is doable.
