IWR1443BOOST: Altium design of IWR1443BOOST contains IWR1423 instead

Part Number: IWR1443BOOST
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AWR1243BOOST, IWR1443, IWR1243

Dear sirs!

in the file SPRR253.zip which is referenced as "IWR1443BOOST Design Databased and Layout Details" we can find Altium project with 1243 module, not 1443.

Can we have IWR1443boost Altium project or they are similar?

Thanks!

  • Hello,

Yes, 1243 and 1443 will have same PCB design database package, depending upon IWR1443boost or AWR1243boost right device would be soldered on the board.

    Thanks and regards,
    CHETHAN KUMAR Y.B.
  • thanks, Chethan. So we can easily replace IWR1243 with IWR1443?
Also there are some differences between components between IWR1443(1243)Boost altium project and TIDEP 0091 project .
For example, different CAN (SN65HVDA540QDR and TCAN1042HGVDQ1),
    different Flash
    iwr1443 IC FLASH 16M SPI 108MHZ 8WSON vs AWR1243FBIGABLQ1 IC FLASH 16M SPI 80MHZ 8WSON

we'd like to get some experience in custom project so we want to create own project based on TIDEP 0091. We can start with IWR1243Boost Altium, add components according to the TIDEP 0091 schematic and then cut not needed parts. But this 2 projects have many parts with same wiring and function but different names. So we are not sure are they same identical in operation or we must follow priority (leave IWR1243Boost part or TIDEP 0091).

Or may be you can provide TIDEP 0091 Altium project for evaluation?

    thanks!
  • Hello,

IWR1443(1243)Boost Altium project would be the latest and you could pick this database and modify as desired.

You will see some changes between two designs, In Revision B EVM CAN Transceivers are upgraded with higher speed CAN FD devices. And Spansion flash devices were reaching end of life, hence alternative Marcronix flash devices were introduced.

    Thanks and regards,
    CHETHAN KUMAR Y.B.
