I'm doing tests on FDC2214.

I would like to know how superior FDC2214 than FDC1004?

What are the main things that makes FDC2214 more advantageous than FDC1004?

Hi Vignesh,
To start off FDC1004 uses a switch based capacitive sensing architecture, where as FDC2214 uses an LC tank based architecture. You can read about these different architecture here: e2e.ti.com/.../capacitive-sensing-which-architecture-should-you-choose. Some advantages of using FDC2214 over FDC1004 are: 1. Better noise performance in proximity sensing because of excellent immunity to EMI, 2. Faster sample rates enables conductive liquid level sensing. I hope this helps!
