Linux/AWR1642BOOST: Running mmwave software on Linux

Part Number: AWR1642BOOST
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AWR1642, DCA1000EVM

Tool/software: Linux

Is it possible to use mmWave studio, mmWave SDK, or even the demo software for AWR1642 on a Linux (ubuntu 16.04) machine with an ARM processor? Our group is wondering if using an odroid c2 with following system can be usable to run the mmWave software to capture raw ADC data.

Thanks

David

  • David,

Please refer to the release notes in the SDK for Linux support. Our most current SDK has been verified on Ubuntu 14.04 and Ubuntu 16.04 64 bit machines.

Code Composer Studio and MATLAB runtime are supported in Linux so you should be able to run all of the demos that are available on TI's Resource Explorer at dev.ti.com/tirex.

mmWave Studio is only supported in Windows. There are no current plans to extend support to other OS platforms other than Windows.

    Regards,
    Kyle
  • David,

If you are looking to capture raw ADC data, TI has released the DCA1000EVM that enables these capabilities.
