HDC1080: HDC1080 in phosphine environment

Dear team,

Customer's product is gas detector to detect some kinds of gas, including phosphine, they want to use TI HDC1080, but they wonder if HDC1080 will be erosion in phosphine environment?

  • Hi Sammi,
    The humidity sensor will have to be protected to some gases, particles and dust since those could affect the sensing characteristics and have significant RH errors. This type of aggressive environments requires some filters membranes that will permit molecules of water vapor to pass and block the others. IP67 rated material.
