OPT8241-CDK-EVM: Slave mode

Part Number: OPT8241-CDK-EVM

Hi,

1. Can the slave mode be activated simply from the voxel  viewer?

When I changed the value of 'slave_mode' from False to True from the voxel viewer, the sensor stopped working (This is what I expected). But even after I sent a pulse through VD_IN pin, It didn't work. Do I have to use the voxel sdk instead of the voxel viewer?

2. Regarding question 1, is it okay if the pulse width is larger than 2 system clock periods(about 42 nano seconds)?  Is it okay even with 1 micro seconds instead of 42 nano seconds?

3. According to the following figure, the pin number for VD_IN is 36, but that pin is not the 36th pin. What is the correct VD_IN pin?

4. Can I save the stream from the voxel viewer even when it runs in the slave mode?

Thanks,

  • Hi,

Slave mode can be set from voxel viewer. However, a single pulse would not work as voxel viewer expects frames coming from the camera continuously. A single pulse will send only 1 frame data from the camera.
It is ok for the pulse to be longer than 2 clock cycles. 1us is also acceptable.
The pin numbers in this symbol are not in order. But the pin numbers are correct. Do you face difficulty in probing this pin to receive the signal?
