AMC6821: Open drain outputs: Implications of using different power domain/rail

Part Number: AMC6821

Hi,

I'm planning to use the AMC6821 in an application, where the status signals will be evaluated by a chip powered from a 1.8V supply that has no specified sequencing with the 3.3V VDD supply of the AMC6821. This can lead to situations where the open drain outputs (THERM, FAN-FAULT, OVR) will be pulled to 1.8V by the pull-up resistors without VDD being present. Is this an issue (e.g. due to the presence of ESD diodes) or is it safe to use the chip in that way?

Thanks for your assistance.
