AWR1642BOOST: The heatmap result is different between mmWave Studio and OOB+LVDS

Part Number: AWR1642BOOST
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: MMWAVE-STUDIO, MMWAVE-SDK

Hi team,

AWR 1642 + SDK 2.0.4

Application: mmw demo + LVDS output

Capture card: DCA1000

ADC same: 256

chirp number: 64

We met a strange issue on ADC rasw data.

We uses mmWave studio to capture the data and the data looks fine.

But we uses mmw demo application and enable LVDS and then we implement a UDP capture tool that follow the document()

And after recording the data, we launch "Packet_Reorder_Zerofill.exe" to remove packet header.

Then we uses mmWave studio to play the adc data and get the different result.

Is there anything I set wrong or do I need to re-arrange ADC Raw data on mmw demo?

  • Hi,
Could you tell us the process how did you generate the plot for OOB capture LVDS data?

And if you are using postProc then you need to make sure that configurations set in adc_data_LogFile.txt are same as CLI command for OOB demo. Format & unit of both the command format will be different so be carefull while comparing both.

mmWave-SDK user guide will give you detail of CLI commands and mmwave-studio LUA shell command help will you detail of other format.

    Regards,
    Jitendra
