TMP422: TMP422 with DX2 (or DX4) connected to GND?

Hi,

can I connect DX2 (or DX4) to GND and DX1 (or DX3) to a diode-based temperature sensor for measuring the temperature of an ADC die?

Hello Luca,

Which ADC are you using which provides a diode for temp sensing of the die? It would be important information for us to understand the behavior of the remote sensor before providing any recommendation.

Hi Amit,
the ADC is AD9684 in wich the temperature diode voltage can be output to the FD_A pin using the SPI.

Hello Luca,

The FD_A pin outputs a voltage corresponding to the temperature. This is not the same as a remote diode which the TMP422 can use as an input. You would need an ADC to sample the voltage output on FD_A pin and then use a look up table to convert the same into a temp reading.
