Hi,

The Rogers PCB material that TI recommended in the design guide of AWR1642 is RO4835 low profile 4mil H/1 or RO3003 5mil H/1, can we use the RO3003 5mil H/H instead of RO3003 5mil H/1 ?

Hello Michael,
The thickness of the laminate (H/H or H/1) would depend on the manufacturer, some manufacturers start with H/H and then adjust the copper thickness by plating others use H/1 then plate accordingly. Finally what matters is the impedance control of the RF lines.

so the H/H or H/1 should not affect the impedance contol of RF line, right ?

Hello Michael,
The final processed thickness of the copper is what decides the impedance. You need to compare the processed thickness.

Hi Vivek,

H or 1 at layer 2 ( ground), will the copper thickness of ground plane affect the RF ompedance control ?

Mostly the thickness of the copper on RF trace layer would be more important. Thickness of the GND layer may not impact impedance much.
