HDC2010: Humidity Accuracy at Zero Degree Celsius

Part Number: HDC2010

Hi,

I have a requirement of Humidity sensor with accuracy of the range of 2.0% at temperature ranging around 0.0 degree Celsius. I have found out that humidity sensors usually available in the market give a decent accuracy (around 2%) at 25 degree Celsius but once the temperature reaches 0 degree Celsius, the accuracy drops to 10% or so. I want the same information about HDCxxxx series of temperature & humidity sensor from TI. I tried searching in the datasheet but didn't find any information/graph related to humidity accuracy at 0 deg C. Our requirement is a good humidity accuracy as better as possible but the operating temperature range we are looking for is -10 to +10 degree Celsius.

Can anyone help me in getting this information? If suitable, we will be evaluating the product & finalising in our design.

Thanks

  • Hi Soumyajit,
HDC2010 max RH (relative humidity) is listed at +/-3%, please notice that +/-2% is a typical value.

The temperature range where the value is specified in the data sheet is from 0 to 60 C degrees. So short answer for your question will be : at 0C the typical RH value is +/-2% and the max RH value at is +/-3%.

Please refer to the table and foot notes (4) (5) & (6) on page 5 of the data sheet for the details.
RH accuracy outside the range and conditions listed in these foot notes are not specified.

    Regards,
    Jose
