DCA1000EVM: DCA1000EVM adc_data.bin is empty. Please capture more data.,1,

I'm trying to run mmWave studio 2.0.0.2 with AWR1642 and DCA1000EVM and have an issue where the data from the DCA1000EVM is not being stored in the adc_data.bin file on my computer.  I have searched a lot of the issues on this forum and followed the advice with no luck.  Here are the steps I follow

1) plug in AWR1642 and DCAEVM1000 to power (separate supplies)

2) start mmwave studio

3) reset button in RadarAPI window Reset control 

4) Connect button in Radar API window for RS232 Operations1

5) Run DataCaptureDemo_xWR.lua

Wireshark shows data transfer from DCA1000EVM

The datafile on my computer is 0kb in size so the data is not being saved but it does appear to be transmitted by the EVM.  I do not see any issues with firewalls as mmwave studio has inbound open.  Maybe there is another program that mmwave studio uses to capture the data that needs to have an inbound rule?  Although I should not have the Ethernet cable disconnected message in my output log which looks to be a bug in mmwave studio as I can see the ethernet packets in wireshark.  

Again, I have searched for this issue and tried all the steps outline so yes I followed the quick start guide, I have checked dip switches, I have re flashed the FPGA, checked the firewalls, use wireshrak

I am using a win 10 machine.
