PGA900EVM: PGA900EVM / Generic Firmware: How to send example commands?

Hello,

I just started the development for a new customer product using the PGA900.

I managed to get the PGM900EVM up and running with your "Generic Firmware (Rev.A)" using "USB2ANY".

It seems that this firmware provides the possibility to receive commands (1 Byte 0..15) in order to execute example functions (file "pga900_cmd.c").

How can I send these commands to the "PGA900EVM"?

I did not find this feature in your "PGA900 EVM GUI v3.3.0.0" and I did not manage to connect a terminal program to "USB2ANY". Are there other possibilities?

Welcome to our e2e forum! Our PGA900 expert is on holiday break until after the new year. Please forgive the delay in getting your query resolved. In the meantime, have you reviewed the OWI command section in the PGA900 datasheet (section 7.3.14.3.2)?

Hi Tom,

thank you for your response.
Section 7.3.14.3.2 describes OWI Commands theoretically.
My question is how to send OWI commands using PGM900EVM practically.
The PGM900EVM contains hardware for OWI communication but I did no find a possibility to send single OWI commands using the GUI while the PGM900 CPU is running.

Hi Michael,

The PGA900EVM GUI does not have the capability to send generic OWI commands to the PGA900. I am attaching some evaluation Labview code that uses the USB2ANY dlls to send generic commands. Please see the included readme for additional details on how to use the VIs.
