PGA460TPWQ1 anti-interference

Part Number: PGA460

PGA460TPWQ1 connects the ultrasonic head through the seat J400, if the short-line connection can work normally, but the interference will be great after the line is longer. We want to add the line to about 40 cm, but the echo waveform can not be seen in this length. Is there a good anti-interference solution for this situation?

  • Hi Jace,

Thanks for posting your question. I've notified our ultrasonic expert, and as soon as the team is back in the office after the holidays we'll have an answer for you.

    Best Regards,
  • Hi Jace,

What kind of interference do you see, and does this ultrasonic module share a platform with a motor or other potentially in-band switching sub-system? Does your overall echo data dump noise floor increase significantly, are there more sporadic false-positive transients, or is your return peak amplitude much weaker?

My immediate recommendation is to shield your transducer's twisted-pair cabling, or use a different cable (such as coaxial) to connect from the transducer to the ultrasonic module board. Also try adding a low-pass filter at VPWR to ensure your AVDD regulator does not allow in-band noise to couple onto the return path.
