TDC1000: Wrong TOF readings when flow (water) is present (water flow meter)

Hi,

I have connected the TDC1000 and TDC7200 on a breadboard and have managed to get correct results (0.1-0.3ns) when there is no water flow inside the pipe.

However, when i apply flow, the results i get are erratic and not stable at all.

I checked with an oscilloscope and i get the first stop pulse at the second period of the incoming echo as i have configured it for both zero flow and flow. The incoming echo signal is clean and i always get the expected 5 stop pulses.

What could cause this behavior and what should i do?
