IWR1443BOOST: C674x debug probe not visible

Hello,

I have followed the steps in SDK Users guide "Connecting to mmWave EVM using CCXML in CCS ". Finally I see Cortex_R4_0 debug probe and am able to connect to it but I do not see C674x Debug probe. Am I missing something?

Hi Prudhvi,

IWR1443 does not include a C674x DSP core. It only has an ARM Cortex R4F. Other devices like the IWR1642 or IWR6843 include a C674x DSP core in addition to the ARM core.

Hello,
Ty for the support. Can I directly program IWRBOOST using CCS? or Do I need to build and use UNIFlash everytime?

You can flash the EVM with the CCS debug binary provided in the mmWave SDK. Then whenever the device powers up it will sit in a loop waiting for you to load a program using CCS. Please see the instructions in the mmWave SDK user guide or the Setup Guide in the 14xx - mmWave SDK Demo on the TI Resource Explorer for more details.
