Microprocessor Choice for Bone Density Project

Hi 

I am Kunal. Currently working on bone density measurement, would appreciate if anyone could guide as to which tool/software/or micro-controller is a good choice for this project. Currently I am using the k wave toolbox in MATLAB for simulation.

Key things which are supposed to be done:

1. Measure the attenuation.

2. Time of flight.

It would be advantageous to have time taken for first reflected pulse to reach sender as well.

Would appreciate anyone who can throw some light on the same.

    Ultrasonic based devices TDC1000 & TDC7200 are designed to measure water/liquid flow & level.

    The MCU are typically used for communication purpose between a TOF measuring device & the PC.

    As of now we have an MCU which is used to measure the flow of liquid with good accuracy, but we do not have a device that could help to measure bone density.
