IWR6843: IWR6843, VIO Level

Hi,

The IWR6843 VIOIN power input can be between 3.15V to 3.45V , Can you explain why can't i use it at 3.0V or 2.5V ?

Hi,

Can you please provide some more background to your question?
As shown in the datasheet the recommended operating voltage for VIOIN is 3.15V to 3.45V.

Hi , Charles
The Radar unit is controlled by a Ti Radio that is powered by a battery , When the battery voltage drops and the power supply starts tracking the battery voltage the VIO will vary between 3.3V to 2.8V .using the 1.8V rail with the radio is problematic since i need the higher Tx power .
connecting the radio power to the VIOin will save me from using level shifters .

Hi,

The IO circuitry was designed to work on 3.3V or 1.8V , with the limit on the datasheet a tolerance. Driving the line below the voltage tolerance will result in unexpected/unpredictable behavior.
