AWR1642BOOST-ODS: Debugger options

Part Number: AWR1642BOOST-ODS
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AWR1642,

I am trying to see what my options are for debuggers for the AWR1642 mmWave sensors.  It isn't clear from the website which tools work with both the ARM and DSP cores for this part.  Is there one option that can connect to both ARM and DSPs at the same time to debug and if so which ones?  I can look them up from there to see the capabilities..  If not, can I use two debuggers at the same time with code composer studio to debug?  I'm looking for more capabilities than the XDS100 connection using just the serial over USB.

Thanks,

Howie

  • Howard,

You can leverage Code Composer Studio and the XDS110 connection to debug both cores. CCS has configuration files for the AWR devices so that you can see both the ARM and DSP core in the same run-time session.

  • Howard,

You can use Code Composer Studio and the on board XDS110 connection for debugging on your AWR1642BOOST-ODS EVM. When you install CCS and include the mmWave sensors package, you can use .ccxml configurations for the AWR1642 that will recognize both the ARM and TI DSP core on the device.
