IWR1443BOOST: Interface with external MCU

Part Number: IWR1443BOOST
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: IWR1443, , TIDEP-0091

Hello,

I am new to IWR1443 sensor and my application is a fluid level measurement. I am trying to interface IWR1443BOOST with another MCU (similar to Arduino). I am confused on how to proceed solving this. My questions are:

1. After every power cycle does the BOOST board requires writing of Config file to make it start sending the data? If true another MCU can be made to send this data.

2. I can parse the UART output data in the MCU as given in this post  .

Is my understanding of the problem correct? Is there a much simpler way to get the range data to an external MCU, like using the TIDEP-0091 reference  design which I understand directly sends the range detection.?
