FDC2214: INxA/B pin connect to GND

Part Number: FDC2214

Hi

FDC2214

What happens to the sensing data when INxA or /B pin is connected to GND?

Customer checked it. The sensing data became 0  or 2^28 when INxA or /B pin is connected to GND.  Is it correct?

If yes, why did the sensing data become 0 or 2^28?

Thanks

Muk

  • Hi Yusuke,
INxA and INxB are both half-sine wave with 180 deg phase shift. If you look at the inputs through a scope, you will see when one input is at peak while the other input is GND. You should not GND these pins, as they will disrupt with the normal functioning of this device. We do not have much data on how the device will behave when these pins are grounded.

    Best Regards,
