AWR1642: crystal oscillator selection

Hello,

I'm encountering a long lead time for the CX3225SA40000D0PTW-CC xtal oscillator that is recommended by TI. What are some tested alternatives you would suggest us to use?

At the same time, we found a supply of CX3225SA40000D0PTW-Z1 (instead of -CC that's used in TI's EVM), they have slightly worse frequency characteristics. The frequency stability is +/-50e-6 instead of +/-15e-6, frequency temperature characteristics is +/-200 e-6 instead of +/-150 e-6. Do you think the -Z1 parts are okay to use with the AWR1642 chips? I've attached the corresponding data sheets.

    Hello JQ,

    The crystal needs to meet the specifications listed in section 5.10.2.1 of the device datasheet. Proper crystal selection is very important for good RF performance, so I would not deviate from what is used on our reference designs unless absolutely necessary.
