Dear TI

In the datasheet it said that the sensing range beyond two coil diameters. What does it mean?

This means that if your coil diameter is 10cm, your maximum reliable sensing range will be about 20cm. The larger the coil, the farther you will be able to detect a metal target.

Does the application is for proximity sensing?

Thank you Clancy. About the coil design, should i follow the sequence same with LDC0851 (clockwise, counterclockwise)?

Figure shown below. Is this correct?
