AWR1642: LVDS data transfer and ADC operation timing

Hi Experts,

Our customer mentioned that ADC function and LVDS data transfer do not work simultaneously.
Is there any switch by SW or HW?
If so, it is caused by the software structure for SDK or AWR1642' HW structure itself?

It is necessary to operate simultaneously.
Could you please confirm it?

Hi Hitoshi-san,

Could you please get more information on this issue? It is possible to capture the raw ADC data over LVDS from the AWR1642 using the DCA1000 EVM.

Hi Anand,
My understanding is that LVDS TX starts after each chirp.
So, if the idle time and the TX start time are set shorter (or minus), the chirp and LVDS transfer are overlapped.
In other words, they should work simultaneously.
Am I correct?

Hi Hitoshi-san,

We have ping-pong ADC buffers, so one chirp data can be read out while the next chirp data is being gathered.

However the (idle-time + chirp time) should be configured to be sufficient to ensure that the entire chirp data is transferred over LVDS before the next chirp ends.

The chirp and LVDS data transfer can operate simultaneously.
However, the entire chirp data must be transferred over LVDS before the next chirp ends.
