HDC2010: Water proof of HDC2010

Dear Sirs,

My customer asked us about the waterproofing method of HDC 2010.

Is it OK to put HDC 2010 in a waterproof case of IPx 7 level?
In that case, will the tolerance of humidity and others change?

    Hi Yoshiki-san,

    It is OK to put HDC2010 inside waterproof case. We expect the sensor to be capable of indicating a leak in the case, but would otherwise not be capable of measuring external humidity.

    The specifications would not change, but note that the device can have trouble resolving very low humidity levels. The 6.5 Electrical Characteristics table in the datasheet is specified for 20% < RH < 80%.
