OPT8241: Is OPT8241 networking with Onvif Open Source protocol possible? Also if I buy the OPT8241, aside from the calibration is there anything else I need to do before capturing the video? What is the difference between the OPT8241 and OPT8241 CDK?

Hi Siva priya,

We are not familiar with Onvif Open Source protocol and hence will not be able to comment on the feasibility of networking with OPT8241.

OPT8241 is the ToF sensor IC . OPT9221 is the ToF controller chip for controlling and interfacing with OPT8241. OPT8241CDK is a full camera system developed to help customers evaluate OPT8241 chipset.

You are right. For plug and play evaluation, you would need the OPT8241CDK.

I note that the OPT8241 EVM module will be discontinued.

Is there a successor planned for the evaluation module?

I also have a question wrt to these power options:

3.3-V I/O, Analog – 1.8-V Analog, Digital, I/O – 1.5-V Demodulation (Typical )

Can you explain in what scneario I would need each of these? I am determining which to buy.

OPT8241 CDK EVM is a self contained module which only needs an external 5V power supply. Please see the Evaluation Module (EVM) documentation to understand what is necessary for the EVM. Here are links you must read:
