IWR1443: Frequency band selection

Hi,

Industrial radar IWR1xxx and Automotive radar AWR1xxx uses same frequency band of 76-81 GHz

For industrial radar IWR1443 / IWR1642, 76-81 GHz frequency band is used instead of 60-64 GHz band. Why is it so?

    Hello,

    There are Industrial applications (For example Level probing radars are the most popular ones) allows usage of 76-81 GHz band outside the automotive space, where these products could be used in Industrial applications.

    However most popular industrial applications are being developed in 60GHz space. You you are interested developing applications you could look for IWR6843 device family.
