How can I control the output power and antennae gains? do I have control over those in the mmwave SDK?

Ahmed,

Please refer to the User's Guide that is found in the docs folder of the SDK, specifically, in section 3.4 that discusses the configuration file.

There is an argument under the profileCfg CLI command that control the output power backoff called "txOutPower".

There is also another argument under the profileCfg CLI command that controls the RX gain called "rxGain."

The User's Guide contains additional information about controlling other parameters too.

Thanks, I have seen the TxOutPower but was concerned because of the comment which says "only value '0' has been tested"

So I still have a related question:

the TxOutPower is 0 by default,

but I can't find anything in the documentation describing the scale or the unit of this parameter,

so 0 corresponds to 12dB I guess,

but if I set it to 1 or 2 or 10, what will be the dB value ??

Hi,

The TxOutPower is specified as a backoff value from the maximum. 0 means no backoff (12 dB nominal) and 1 means a 1 dB backoff (11 dB nominal) and so on.

We will try and make this clearer in the documentation.
