Hi Team,

As title, my customer is trying to detect Fluorescent lamp flicker frequency from Ambient light.

Can OPT3001 use for Fluorescent lamp flicker frequency detect?

Hi Eddie,

OPT3001 has integrations times of 100ms and 800ms. This means you can sample at ~10Hz or ~1.25Hz, respectively. I believe florescent flicker is much faster than this so will not be detected.

This could work. You will still want to check the datasheet specs with the frequency you are trying to detect and required gain.
