HDC1010EVM: Is the I2C address hard coded to 0x00 into EVM firmware?

Hello TI

Using your HDC1010EVM, I suspect that the only I2C address the EVM GUI is capable of reading is 0x00. Is this correct? Any other addressing configuration produces NaN type responses for temp and humidity.

Hi Craig,

Are you changing the address selection resistors in the EVM? By default the I2C address of the HDC1010 device in the EVM is 0x00 with R1 &R3 populated and R4 &R2 not connected. assume you are changing the resistors scheme based on table 1 of the HDC1010 Data sheet?

If you are already doing it is there any settings in the GUI you tried to update?

Yes, I'm modifying the pull up values on the EVM board. I went through the EVM source code and it looks the default I2C address is set 0x40. Is there a way to get the GUI to use a different address?

There is no way of setting the I2C address in this version of the GUI. Next revisions may include. In the mean time I recommend to use the Arduino based SW examples for HDC1080 (same interface as HDC1010) Link below:
