FDC2214EVM: Problem connecting to EVM GUI

Hello,

I am currently trying to use the FDC2214EVM board, but cannot seem to get it to connect to the GUI? The onboard LED is Green (although sometimes after connecting it will be Red, and I simply disconnect and reconnect).

I have tried uninstalling the GUI and reinstalling, as well as keeping my Windows Driver page open (as one of the forums mentioned that should help), but nothing seems to work.

I am running Windows 10 on an Acer Aspire R14.

Most likely you just need to update the USB driver. You can do this by going to your device manager page and right clicking on the port where the EVM is connected (usually it is obvious which one it is).

From there, install the driver found in this location: C-> ti> Sensing Solutions EVM GUI - 1.9.4 -> EVM Driver

Also, sometimes you need to run the GUI "as an administrator" depending on your device's security settings.

Note: Please do not try and update the firmware from the GUI.
